Terms of service

1. Who can use GenXYZ Lab

• Anyone can use the app as a guest.
• Accounts, and the AI features where accounts are offered, are for people aged 18 and over.
• If you are under 18, use the app with the permission of a parent, guardian or your school.

2. Your account

• Give true details, including your age.
• Keep your password and PIN to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One account is for one person.
• Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
• You can stop using the app at any time, and ask us to delete your account (see the privacy policy).

3. Price and paid features

The app is free today. If we add paid features later, such as plans, credits or passes:

• their price, what you get, whether they renew and how to cancel will be shown in the app before you pay;
• we will add their terms here before they go on sale.

Any coins or test balances shown in the app before then are for trying it out, and have no money value.

4. What you create belongs to you

• Your work is yours. Courses, exams, notes, code, designs and records you make in the app belong to you. Most of it never leaves your device.
• Sharing a course. If you share a course (for example from your own Google Drive), you must have the right to share everything in it. If you ask us to list it as a verified course, you let us show its title, your teacher name and its link in the public list.
• Public comments. On the website, your comments and display name are public. You let us show them, and we may remove them.

5. Courses, exams and certificates

• Teachers are responsible for their courses: the content, the questions, the passing score and how they use their class's results.
• A certificate is earned only by finishing a whole course. It shows completion of that course in the app.
• A certificate is not an official qualification. It is not a diploma or a government accreditation, unless the course provider says otherwise. A "verified" course has been reviewed by GenXYZ Lab; it is not accredited by a school or the government.
• Do not cheat on exams. The app records signs such as leaving the exam or answering unusually fast, and shows them to the teacher. They never change your score.

6. Miguel and AI features

• AI answers can be wrong. Check anything important. Do not rely on AI for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.
• When you connect your own AI service: you are responsible for your key, for that provider's terms and for any charges it makes.
• Before Miguel changes anything, he shows you the change and asks. What you approve is your decision.
• AI features are switched off during exams.

7. Tools that act in the real world

Some tools can affect real things. You use them at your own risk, and you are responsible for checking what you approve. For example, some tools can:

• program boards;
• control smart devices;
• print;
• run commands and install software (always after asking you);
• connect to servers you set up;
• ring alarms.

Alarms and reminders are best effort. Your phone's battery settings, a restart or the system itself can delay or block them. Do not use them as your only reminder for anything where a miss could cause harm, such as taking medicine.

Work tools may hold other people's details, such as customers, employees or students. You are responsible for that data, and for following the privacy law that applies to you.

8. Rules for using GenXYZ Lab

Do not use the app, the website or our servers to:

• break the law;
• harass, threaten or harm anyone;
• share content you have no right to share;
• attack, overload, probe or get around the security of our servers or anyone else's, including through the code runners, tunnels or network tools;
• send spam, or fake results, comments, downloads or reports;
• spread malware;
• pretend to be someone else.

We may remove content, limit access or close accounts that break these rules.

9. Our app and other people's services

• Our app: the app, its design and the GenXYZ Lab name belong to us. You may use the app for learning, teaching, work and personal use. Do not sell it, or share a changed copy as if it were ours.
• Open-source parts of the app are under their own licences.
• Other people's services follow their own terms. Examples are Google Drive, AI providers, map and translation services, and the services you connect.

10. Keep your own backups

The app is offline-first, so your data lives on your device. Uninstalling the app, clearing its data, or losing or damaging the device can erase it. Use Settings → Backup to keep copies somewhere safe.

11. Warranties and liability

We work hard to keep GenXYZ Lab correct and available. However, it is provided as it is, without a promise that it will always work, be error-free or suit a particular purpose.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for lost data, profits or opportunities, that come from using or being unable to use the app. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law in the Philippines or where you live.

12. Changes, ending and law

• Changes to these terms: we will update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app before it applies. If you keep using GenXYZ Lab after that, you accept the new terms.
• Ending: you may stop at any time. We may suspend or close access for someone who breaks these terms.
• Law: these terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines.
